Verb gustar, grammar explanation and uses
Verb gustar explained

In order to conjugate this verb we need to think in some elements of the sentence.

  1. First we have "who likes it" the subject is going to be indicated by the indirect object pronouns (me, te, le, nos, les), this is not optional, it has to be there, however, the tonic pronouns (a mí, a tí, a él, a ella, a usted, a nosotros, a ellos/as, a ustedes) are optional

  2. The next thing is the verb, which is going to have only 2 conjugations, gusta and gustan. When do we use each one? this is going to be determinate by our next element.

  3. The complement or object of the sentence is going to tell us which conjugation of gustar we are going to use. If the object is singular or is a verb we use "gusta" if the object id plural we use gustan.

Do we agree or not?

When we talk about what we like, it is necessary to show agreement or disagreement. When two people agree in something affirmative we say yo también (me too) if we agree in something negative we say a mi tampoco (me neither). If our preference is different, we disagree, we say a mi si (I do) a mi no ( I don't)
